| 1. Start up as if you were going to take still images. |

| 2. Click on the Start View button in the Camera View panel. |

| 3.Click on the Start Video button on the bottom of the Digital Streaming Video panel. You could also click on the DVCapture pull-down bar and click on Start Capture. The two options do the same thing. |

| 4. Open up Windows Movie Maker (WMM). |

| 5. Click "Capture from video device" on the upper left side of the screen in WMM. |

| 6. A Video Capture Device window will appear. Click Next >. |

| 7. In the Captured Video File window type in your file name and select the location in which you would like to save. Click Next >. |

| 8. In the Video Setting window, make sure that the recommended settings option is selected. Click Next >. |

| 9. In the Capture Video window, click Start Capture, and initiate the experiment on the TEM. When you have captured enough video click Stop Capture. |

| 10. Click Finish and you can preview your video file. |

| 11. In Gatan DigitalMicrograph software, click on Stop Video and Stop View. |
