Fluorescence Microscopy

The software and icons refer to the AxioVision software for Windows. Click the toolbar above for a larger view.
| 1. Select the correct filter for the observed fluorescence by rotating the filter turret using the forward and backward REFLECTOR keys. The filter set currently in use will be listed in the lower left of the LCD display on the top of the microscope. |

| 2. Open the fluorescence shutter by depressing the FL on/off key. NOTE: When not observing fluorescence, close the fluorescence shutter to minimize sample fluorescence decay. |

| 3.3. Add color to the image by maximizing the captured image window. In the lower left, there will be several options for image modification. Right click on the number icon and select the correct color. Then, click on the color wheel icon so that it reads “On”. | VIEW | |||||

| 4.2. Select one of the color channels by left clicking, then select measure. In the new window, adjust the exposure in the same way as for a regular image and then select OK. See Basic Operation under Zeiss AxioVert 200 M and ApoTome in Fluorescence Microscopes. | ||||||
| 4.3. Repeat step 4.2. for each channel and then select Start. | ||||||
